TypeCrush Review

I have mentioned this countless times, but I do love game nights! I think it’s a fun way for us all to be together and as far away from staring at a screen as possible. Do not get me wrong I love gaming, but sometimes it’s nice to have technology off and just enjoying each other’s company.

So I have a new game for all of you to try, it’s called TypeCrush. It is a fun new word game for the ages 7 and up. It can be as challenging as you decide to make it. One thing I love about it, and it’s not even how you play the game. It is handcrafted and 100% recycled material! Who does not love that?

So inside this neat tube is a bunch of letters and all are color coded. You have ETAON in blue, RISHD in purple, LFCMU in green, GYPWB in yellow-green, and VKXJQZ in dark green. This color coding is based on how much each letter is used. From more frequent to less frequent.

The way you play the game is you spell a word, without anyone seeing, then you flip them over. You can give them a hint on what the word is, like a popular food item. Then they use the Letter Frequency chart to figure out what the word would be.

My 7 year old daughter even loved to play it, and we attempted to make it on the simpler end for her to have a better chance at finding the words. When it was just my husband and I we would pick larger words to make it more difficult.

We had a lot of fun playing it, and look forward to many more evenings with TypeCrush!
