The Odd Life of Timothy Green Review

by Wren on December 10, 2012

Once a week I gather my family, a bag of popcorn, and a movie. Sometimes it is one we have seen a million times, and sometimes it brand new. Either way it is family friendly for all of us to enjoy. It’s a nice time of cuddles and junk food normally.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green released on December 4th. I had been anticipating it because of the previews I had seen that just drew me in. It looked like it was a very family oriented film with a bit of magic, which is something my family enjoys. So we sat down this weekend and enjoyed watching it together.

It is about a couple who cannot have a child of their own, so before they move on they make a list of what their child would be. They then bury the pieces of paper in a wooden box in the garden. What happens next, blew us away! Once having Timothy in their lives, not only did it change the way the couple were, but the whole town was saved due to Timothy and his belief in his parents.

There were laugh out loud moments and even moments with tears. I cheered along with the family and felt when they were sad or troubled. The acting in the movie was amazing, and I cannot wait to watch it again. It was a movie that really moved me. I even loved watching their happy ending, not the way you would have thought, but no less heartwarming.

It is a movie I see being watched again and again, and I honestly recommend it to everyone!
