The Mommy MD Guide to Your Baby’s First Year Review

by Wren on November 17, 2013

I love finding gifts over the holidays that are going to be helpful! Especially new mothers or mommy’s with new babies. They are hard to shop for, because you want to give them something for them and something that is helpful. I am big on helpful books and love to share books that I find useful or a great read!

I am not a new Mom, but I am a Mom to a new baby. I  read The Mommy MD Guide to Your Baby’s First Year, and my favorite part was that it was written with tips from other Mothers that happen to be Doctors! It makes you feel good about the tips that they give you, because it is things they did with their children.

It is broken up into each month and it lets you know where your baby may be in their development. I like reading it and seeing things my baby is doing or almost doing. Then it goes through and gives me great tips and some are things I already did and made me feel great in knowing other Moms do it too.

I loved their suggestions on how to help you transition your baby to new milestones, like a sippy cup. My little one is not to that point yet, but I know I struggled a bit with my first baby and am really hoping to know more this second go around. I feel good about reading this book and hearing all the tips and tricks other Moms used. It was a easy read, I did not feel like I had to sift through pointless text to get to the part that would help me.

I think this would make an excellent gift under the tree this year for Mom’s with babys in their first year. I also suggest checking out the other The Mommy MD Guides! I imagine they are just as helpful, and I plan to check them out myself! I think this will be my new go to book with each baby after their arrival!
