As a child I would play in the yard with my brother and we would pretend to be one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was typically Donatello because I liked his more feminine colored bandana. My brother would be Raphael because he loved his red bandana. So we would go around and act out the last episode we saw on TV running and yelling through the yard. Good thing we lived in the country and had a lot of room to run and no one near by would mistake our yelling for actual distress!
One of the most recent items I was able to review reminded me of those times, and it made me think how much more fun we could have had with it! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ninja Combat Gear! They sent me Michelangelo, and I so love his nunchuck! It is just fantastic to be able to actually dress up as the character you are pretending to be! Dress up is no longer just for the little girls who pretend to be princesses anymore! With the Michelangelo set I got a orange bandana, a nunchuck, and 2 throwing stars. Let me just say my daughter loves it! Like me she loves Donatello, but being able to dress up like any of them brought a huge sparkle to her eyes!
So she went around the house doing her karate moves and I love that its all made of soft plastics incase she hits herself and the throwing starts are not pointy so no unwanted injury. I think it was all made with kids in mind and it has proven to be full of entertainment for not only me but my little girl! So I plan to get the other Turtles Combat Gear in the near future so we can be whoever we want to when we play!
