If you are anything like my you love cartoons! Especially ones that are kid friendly but yet have that ability to be aimed towards adults as well. It is a hard mix to balance but I believe Regular Show from Cartoon Network is one of those shows. You feel like it is something your kids can watch, but you would watch it without them… at least I do!
Before I got rid of cable I remember waiting for it to come on, because it would give me a break from some of the other shows my daughter would watch. Though with the Blu-ray copy of seaon 1 & 2 you never have to wait to see it when it airs again! You can just pop in the DVD anytime! Plus with the Blu-ray of Regular Show you get a digital copy too, so you can literally watch it anywhere on your favorite platforms!
The series revolves around two friends, a Blue Jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby, both work as groundskeepers at a park. You can typically see them trying to slack off at their job, and taking the long way around everything. At the end of the day they typically do more work then if they had just done their job in the first place.
“Now shovel some cheese curls into my trash-hole!” -Rigby
When I read certain things it seems to say that Regular Show is far more popular with the boys. I live in a mostly female household and all of us LOVE the show so much and have a blast watching it. Tons of laughing and going around the house quoting the show. So to us it is not a “Boy Show” as some articles and even if the Nielson Media Research says so! I love Regular Show and my girls love Regular Show!
“No, dude…not another horror movie! Last time, I had to walk you to the bathroom every night for a week!” -Mordecai
There are 40 episodes included along with tons of special features! There is even commentary for all 40 episodes which adds greatly to the show. Included is even the unaired pilot that is a must see! There is so much that you can not miss out on it!
