Peter Pan Diamond Edition Review

by Wren on February 5, 2013

Some of you may know how much of a Disney fan I am! I grew up watching Disney movies on VHS and loved every minute of it. It is a fond memory I want my own daughter to have, but lets face it with todays technology a VHS is not going to cut it. So much has changed since I was a child, and for the better. Enjoy some clips from the movie as you read my review!

As a 60th birthday Disney is releasing Peter Pan Diamond Edition on February 5! I for one am very excited. It will include a normal DVD version, Blu-ray, Digital Copy & a Storybook App! I love it when they release a Digital Copy! It is something I can take with me anywhere! I also enjoy when they include a normal DVD because the DVD player in my car is sadly not Blu-ray, and those long car rides can be a bore for little kids. Then of course the Blu-ray option is great for movie nights with the family! I was excited to hear about the Storybook App, you can play that on your iPod touch, iPhone, & iPad!

I have already watched this with my daughter a couple times and I know I love the quality of the sound and the animation! It is a far cry from the VHS I grew up with. It has also been sometime since I saw this movie, as I get older I miss out on some of my favorites. I am glad to have added this back into my library for my children to enjoy and hopefully someday share with their children!

Peter Pan was executive produced by Walt Disney  and directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson and Hamilton Luske. The character were voiced by Bobby Driscoll as Peter Pan, Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy Darling, Paul Collins as John Darling, Tommy Luske as Michael Darling, Hans Conried as Captain Hook/Mr. Darling, Bill Thompson as Mr. Smee/Other Pirates, Heather Angel as Mrs. Darling, Tom Conway as the narrator.

Disney’s Blu-ray Diamond Collection represents The Walt Disney Studios’ most prestigious and treasured animated classics. Diamond Edition titles boast the highest level of picture and sound; feature groundbreaking, state-of-the-art immersive bonus content; and include unprecedented levels of interactivity, personalization and customization, made possible because of Blu-ray technology.
