San Diego

San Diego is known for its perfect weather and great beaches, so it’s one of the most visited cities in the United States. People love visiting this sunny city all year round because it is filled with fun and exciting things to do. Whether you visit San Diego for a few days or two weeks, you will never run out of things to do. If you plan on visiting San Diego soon, here are some attractions you won’t want to miss out on.

San Diego Zoo

No trip to San Diego can be complete without visiting the San Diego Zoo. It is one of the more popular zoos in the world and is home to more than 3,700 rare and endangered animals. Whether you want to see a giraffe or elephant, you will find it at the San Diego Zoo. Some of the most popular exhibits at this zoo include Elephant Odyssey, Lost Forest, Outback, Panda Canyon and Urban Jungle. If you want a more personal and up-close experience with the animals, you should consider the special tours and programs the zoo offers such as campouts and private tours.

Wild Animal Park

If you didn’t get enough of the animals at the San Diego Zoo, you should stop by the Wild Animal Park. At this park, the animals are not in cages; they actually run freely in simulated habitats. When you visit this park, you can take a caravan tour and see all of the animals up-close. It’s definitely an experience of a lifetime to see tigers, lions and elephants walking right by you.

Belmont Park

Belmont Park is one of the more exciting attractions in San Diego and is a must go if you have kids. This park is filled with water rides and thrill rides that you can ride all day. Some of the most popular rides at Belmont Park include Beach Blaster, Vertical Plunge and Giant Dipper. When you get done riding the rides, you can head over to the arcade and play fun games like Skee Ball and Guitar Hero. Make sure to stop by the souvenir shop before you leave the park.

Maritime Museum

Both kids and adults will enjoy taking a tour through the Maritime Museum. As you go through this museum, you will get to see historic ships and vessels. If you have the time, you should think about taking a sailing adventure for four hours. The ship you will be sailing on will look like it’s straight out of the history books.

Pacific Beach

Before you leave San Diego, you should definitely stop by Pacific Beach. It is one of the more popular beaches in the city and is a great place to take your family. At this beach, you can swim, sunbathe, build sandcastles, snorkel and surf. If you get hungry, you can stop at one of the restaurants located on the beach.

Whether you visit Pacific Beach or the San Diego Zoo, you will have a great time in San Diego.
