What time is it? … ADVENTURE TIME!

So as a family we love watching Adventure Time. It gives the kids a little of what they want and a little of what us, as parents, want to watch. I was super excited to see Adventure Time: The Complete Second Season come out on Blu-ray & DVD at the same time! I know that the first season had the DVD version come out a year before the Blu-ray version!

Nobody flicks me in the butt without my consent!

I also have my Adventure Time: The Complete First  Season Blu-ray Review up for your pleasure. In that review I give you a round about version of what to expect from Adventure Time, so take some time and hit that up!

Glitter on its own could be evil, but with rainbows… over my dead body!

The second season is a bit more dark then the first, but not so much that you should stop watching it as a family. I know some of the dark bits my daughter did not even notice at the age of 7 and some she thought were funny. Everything done in Adventure Time is full of jokes and laughter even during the more “scary” bits. Nothing was so scary my daughter was scared. She had a viewing with her friends who range in ages 2-12 and none thought it scary and everyone loved it, Including the parents.

I can’t help it, man! I’m all about stupid!

Hi-def is the way to see this show. Everything was eye catching and stunning! The special features are not as many as in the first season, but just as enjoyable. You also get commentary for each 26 episodes, and learn who came up with what joke and other neat information for each episode. Though the commentary is more for the bigger kids [parents or teens] then for the younger age set.

As with the first season I couldn’t bring myself to throw out the cardboard cover! When you take off the Ice King you see him as the Nice King instead from the episode “Loyalty to the King”! I really love what they have done with the cases for this show!

I have not yet gotten tired of the many times my daughter has forced me to watch Adventure Time and I doubt I will!
